May 18 at 10:13 AMIt has been great learning abut all the different topics to help save energy and recover CO2 and simply how to easily live a more sustainable life. I have a created a stronger habit of reducing waste and choosing more sustainable options. Something as simple as not including the plastic utensils in take out food or creating a compost bin for...

May 14 at 4:29 PMWhen I'm walking back in the neighborhoods by my house, it's pretty pleasant. My fiancé and I have journeyed towards town, but what makes that experience unpleasant is that the sidewalk is very exposed to the main road. It's loud, there is car exhaust and in general feels pretty dangerous. In other areas I have lived, the walkway to travel...

May 14 at 4:24 PMI think it's easier to eat meat when if you're not the one killing the animal and preparing it for a meal! We don't think about the process if we don't have to go through it. Being able to visualize the waste a little bit better through this exercise helped me understand how much we are actually consuming and what has the most affect on our waste. This will take some overall awareness of our waste...

May 13 at 4:08 PMWe can be less wasteful if we do not simply throw food away because it has passed one of these dates. Most of the time these foods are really unlikely to make use sick just because they are older than the date on the label. Since most of us have quick access to the internet, all it takes is a quick search on the particular product before you...

April 20 at 11:51 AMIn addition to "Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot" , I would like to add another R and REPURPOSE! Not to be confused with recycling or reusing, repurposing can be something as simple as using a paper bag as a book cover. As a gearhead/tinkerer/builder, I like to repurpose broken or worn out car parts into wind chimes or keep scrap...
