Jake Steele 5/18/2020 10:13 AMIt has been great learning abut all the different topics to help save energy and recover CO2 and simply how to easily live a more sustainable life. I have a created a stronger habit of reducing waste and choosing more sustainable options. Something as simple as not including the plastic utensils in take out food or creating a compost bin for food scraps goes a long way if we can all do it. Many large changes are needed but so much can be done by each of us making many small changes. Thanks for the opportunity to learn and examine my own habits to help make a positive impact! -
Jake Steele 4/20/2020 11:51 AMIn addition to "Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot" , I would like to add another R and REPURPOSE! Not to be confused with recycling or reusing, repurposing can be something as simple as using a paper bag as a book cover. As a gearhead/tinkerer/builder, I like to repurpose broken or worn out car parts into wind chimes or keep scrap wood and metal to be welded or joined to make new furniture or shelving. Let's be creative! -
